Water Quality Report
The current Water Quality Report, also known as the Consumer Confidence Report, for the City of Prairie Home Public Water System is available on the Missouri Department of Natural Resources website (https://dnr.mo.gov/ccr/MO3010660.pdf). You can also view a copy posted at City Hall, or call 660-841-5524 to request a paper copy. The annual reports are generally available by April of each year for the previous calendar year.
These reports provide consumers with the following information:
- The source of the drinking water
- A brief summary of the drinking water source's susceptibility to contamination, based on the source water assessments
- The level, or range of levels, of any contaminant found in the drinking water, as well as the federal health-based standard (maximum contaminant level) for comparison
- The likely source of any contaminant in the local drinking water supply
- Potential health effects of any contaminant detected in violation of health standards, and an accounting of the system’s actions to restore safe drinking water
- The water system’s compliance with other drinking water-related rules
