Hydrant Flushing April 22, 2026

4/21/2026

The City will flush fire hydrants tomorrow afternoon, April 22. Temporarily discolored water and decreased water pressure may occur. If discolored water is observed, run cold water through an outside spigot or the closest plumbing fixture to your water meter. No boil advisory is necessary.

This routine maintenance is essential to maintaining water quality and ensuring the City's fire hydrants remain in good working condition. Flushing helps remove sediment from water mains and verifies proper water flow and pressure.

During this process, you may notice water running down the street. Although it may appear to waste water, this is an important preventive maintenance activity to maintain the integrity of the water system.

If you would happen to experience continued decreased pressure or water discoloration, please contact the City's Water Operator at 573-694-1486.
